Windows Live team recently announced some new features related to Hotmail POP3 and i.e. the POP3 access is made available Hotmail users in the countries like United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France, Japan, Spain, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. For other countries, POP3 access would be rolled out later this year.You can start accessing Hotmail on your mobile phone or PC using any e-mail software program installed on PC or Mobile Phone.

Lets go through the details and i will tell you, How to Set up POP3 for Hotmail on Mobile/PC (Settings) :-

POP server: pop3.live.com
POP SSL required? Yes
User name: Your Windows Live ID, for example yourname@hotmail.com
Password: The password you usually use to sign in to Hotmail or Windows Live
SMTP server: smtp.live.com
Authentication required? Yes (this matches your POP username and password)
TLS/SSL required? Yes

For people who have not got POP3 access, can use Hotmail on desktop using Windows Live Mail or Outlook Connector.
